Question:

Is there any shade or colour of lipstick that is not permissible to wear for a woman?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

 

In principle, it is permissible for a woman to use lipstick to beautify herself on condition the lipstick does not have impure ingredients in it. However, a woman should abstain from drawing attention towards herself from Ghair Mahrams.[1] A woman should conceal her general beauty including her lipstick.

Furthermore, a woman should not apply lipstick that may resemble immoral people or a cult group for example black lipstick. [2]

If the lipstick forms a layer on the lip and water is unable to permeate the layer and reach the lip when making Wudhu, then the lipstick should be removed and Wudhu should be made at the time of Salah. If the Wudhu is performed with lipstick that is not water permeable, the Wudhu will be invalid.

عورتوں کے لئے  گھر میں رہتے ہوئے  اپنے شوہر کے سامنے اس کی خوشی کی خاطر بناو سنگار،میک اپ اور ہونٹوں پر سرخی لگانا جائز ہے، البتہ اگر ہونٹوں پر اس کی ایسی تہ جمتی ہو کہ اس سے نیچے  پانی جسم تک نہ پہنچتا ہو تو پھر اس کے زائل کیئے بغیر وضو اور غسل نہیں ہوگا،نیز گھر سے باہر نکلتے وقت اس قسم کی آرائش و زیبائش اختیار کرنا جائز نہیں جو فتنے میں مبتلا ہونے کا سبب بنے-

اگر لپ اسٹک میں کوئی حرام جزو نہ ہو اور وضوء کا پانی جسم تک پہونچنے میں رکاوٹ نہ بنتا ہو، تو اس کا استعمال جائز نہیں، اگر کوئی حرام جزو اس کی بناوٹ میں شامل ہو اس کا استعمال جائز نہیں، اگر حرام جزو تو شامل نہ ہو، لیکن ہونٹ پر اسی تہ جم جاتی ہو کہ وضوء کا پانی نہ پہونچ سکے تو جن عورتوں پر نماز واجب ہے، ان کے لے لپ اسٹک لگانا جائز نہیں،جن عورتیں ایسی حالت میں ہوں کہ فی الحال ان پر نماز واجب نہیں اور نماز واجب ہونے سے پہلے لپ اسٹک صاف ہو جانے کی امید ہو ان کے لے لگا نے کی گنجائش ہے-

اگر یہ لپ اسٹک ایسی ہو کہ اس کے ہوتے ہوۓ بہی وضوء اور فرض غسل میں جلد تک پانی اچہی طرح پہنچ جا تا ہو تو اس کا استعمال جائز ہے-
