Is There Qadha For Nafl Salaah?

Question:

Is there any Qadha for Nafl prayers like Tahajjud prayer and is there any punishment when you leave it out?

Answer:

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Tahujjud Salaah is a Nafl (voluntary) form of worship with great rewards and a means of high level of spirituality. Tahajjud Salaah was the norm in the life of Rasulullah Sallallāhu Alayhi Wasallam and the Sahaba (radi Allahu anhum) and their household. There is no Qadha for Tahajjud Salaah. However, in view of its great rewards, one should strive to make the Tahajjud Salaah a daily routine of one’s life.
