Treatment for Female Hair Loss

Question:

My daughter is to get married but is suffering from PCOS and hair loss. As such she wants to get trichology treatment for her hair which will include oral medicines, lotions and PRP treatment. Kindly let me know if this is against the Sharia. JazakAllah.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for a female to take oral medicines, apply lotions and undergo PRP treatment to treat hair loss.^[1]
