Chastity-A Woman’s pride

We wish to mention today with regards to the untainted character and purity of the blessed wives which made them examples of chastity. Let alone committing a sin if they were accused of such a crime they would lose their senses. When Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was accused of committing a crime during the incident of Ifk (false accusation) she fell unconscious and was overcome by fever. If this was you and I revenge would possibly be one of our first thoughts.

She was totally innocent yet she still disliked being associated with any form of evil or sin, so what can be said about the extent of remorse that should be felt by the perpetrators of sin themselves. We should definitely feel remorse over the committing of sins and make strong intentions not to repeat them in future. Insha-Allah this will assist in our spiritual progression and help bring us closer to Allah.

Uqbah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): “How can salvation be achieved?”

He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied, “Control your tongue, keep to your house, and weep over your sins.”

Therefore dear sisters, read constant Istigfaar, speak to Allah about your condition, explain to Allah (aza wajal) how you wish to make a change- and remember our Allah is so very near, we just need to take the first step!

May the Almighty assist give us all what it takes to become His, and allow us to follow in the footsteps of our beloved mother Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her). Ameen
