Question:

I want to seek suggestion about marriage Wazeefah. I was divorced for more than 3 years.Please give me suggestion that how can I get a pious partner for me by doing amal or reciting Dua.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

Life is full of various flavors. Sometimes situations and conditions are nice and sweet while at times they are hard and bitter. These diverse circumstances and conditions are experienced by one and all.

Allāh Ta’ālā tests his creation with difficult conditions in order to elevate their status and worth. Difficulty is in fact a favor upon a believer from Allāh Ta’ālā. Sins are erased and lofty levels in Jannah are secured through enduring patience in the face of trying times.

Our advice to you is that you continuously ponder over the blessings that Allāh Ta’ālā has granted you. You are able to enjoy pure oxygen, tasty food, quenching water, a comfortable home, and caring parents. Eyes that see beautiful colors, ears that hear lovely sounds and a mind that can comprehend are all great bounties from Allāh. If you thank Allāh Ta’ālā for what you do have, then you will attain the love of Allāh and Allāh will bless you with what you don’t have. Allāh Ta’ālā says in the Qurān:

 لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ

(سورة إبراهيم، رقم الآية 7)

If you are thankful, I will increase for you. (Qurān 14:7)

 

Furthermore, concentrate upon the meaning of the following verse and recite at least once after every Salāh:

رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَاجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّاتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَاجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا

(سورة الفرقان، رقم الآية 74)

Our Sustainer, Grant us the coolness of our eyes from our spouses and children, and make us leaders of the pious.” (Qurān 25:74)

 

Also on daily basis, recite the following Duā abundantly. This Duā was recited by Hadhrat Mūsā Alaihissalām and Allāh Ta’ālā blessed him with marriage shortly thereafter. The Duā is as follows:

رَبِّ إِنِّي لِمَا أَنزلْتَ إِلَيَّ مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَقِيرٌ

(سورة القصص، رقم الآية 24)

O My Rabb! Indeed I am needy of whatever good you bestow on me. (Qurān 28:24)

 

After carrying out the above-mentioned A’māl, have belief that Allāh will do whatever is best for you. Be pleased with whatever Allāh Ta’ālā decides for you. In this is your success in this world as well as in the Hereafter.

We ask Allāh Ta’ālā to grant you a pious husband. Amīn.
