Rewards for doing Ibadah during the month of Dhull Hijjah

Question:

Are there any specific rewards for doing Ibadah during the month of Dhull Hijjah?

Is it permissible to fast on the days of Dhul Hijjah?

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Rasulullah Sallallāhu Alayhi Wasallam is reported to have mentioned that there is no time better to worship Allah than the ten days of Dhul Hijjah, the fast of each day of the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah is equivalent to the fast of one year and the staying awake on each one of the first ten nights of Dhul Hijjah is equal to making Ibadah on the night of Qadar.
