Does A Woman Have To Cover Her Chin When Praying Salaah?

Question:

When we pray Salaah should we cover our chin?  I’ve heard alot of things about it and just cover it for precaution but always wondered what the actual ruling is.

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

A woman is not obligated to cover her chin in Salaah. If a woman does not cover her chin, her Salaah is intact and valid.[1]
