Is it permissible for a woman to trim her hair?

Question:

what is the ruling for a woman who has long hair and split ends in her hair is it permissible for her to trim her hair?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

According to us, it is not permissible for a woman to cut her hair.[1]

We advise that one does beauty treatments to remove the splits in one’s hair and make it even.
